Good news on Scottish road accident reductions echoed in Dundee.

Dundee Liberal Democrats have welcomed the news that figures released yesterday (30th January 2006) by the Scottish Executive show that there was an 8% decrease in the number of people killed in road accidents in Scotland from the 2003 to 2004 figures; the second lowest figure for 50 years.

Dundee LibDems welcome cross-party co-operation on climate change

Dundee Liberal Democrats have welcomed the news that five political parties have signed up to a joint agreement on the need to tackle climate change together. The Liberal Democrats, the Tories, Scottish Nationalists, Plaid Cymru and the DUP have put aside party differences to develop policies on "the most serious threat we face". The Labour Party was invited to join in this campaign, but has so far declined to do so.

Dundee LibDems help at Dunfermline parliamentary campaign

Led by Raymond Lawrie, Dundee Liberal Democrat local party convener, Dundee LibDems, including Dundee City Council Group Leader Cllr Fraser Macpherson and local LibDem student representative Iqbal Mohammad, spent today (Saturday 28th January 2006) campaigning in Dunfermline & West Fife for Willie Rennie, Liberal Democrat parliamentary candidate for the by-election taking place on 9th February.
