Liberal Democrat councillors today reacted with fury to news that the outcome of a recent consultation exercise by SNP-controlled Dundee City Council is recommending the closure of Caird Park Golf Course and Broughty Ferry Castle Museum.
Dundee City Council's Liberal Democrat Group are greatly concerned about possible cuts to services which has been revealed in a report to the council's City Governance Committee. LibDems describe these potential cuts as “huge and unacceptable”.

Liberal Democrats came a very close second in the Strathmartine by-election. There was only 32 votes between the winning SNP candidate and the LibDem challenger Jenny Blain – 1426 votes to 1394.
