McInnes praises Dundee mums in money management final

North East Liberal Democrat MSP Alison McInnes today praised five young mums from Dundee who are through to the final of aMoney for Life Challenge.

Mrs McInnes explains: "As part of their project the team of 16 and 17-year-oldpupils from Menzieshill High School produced aWinning Weans leaflet which is designed to give young parents money-saving tips for preparing food for their babies.

"The Young Mum's Unit had to fight off competition from all over Scotland. They should be very proud of their efforts. They are a credit to Dundee."

The winner of the Scottish final will be announced at a ceremony at Dynamic Earth in Edinburgh on Thursday 3 April. If the pupils are successful they will go to the UK Grand Final in London on Thursday 15 May, where they could win £2500 for the registered charity of their choice.

  • The Bank of Scotland Money for Life Challenge is a national competition that provides a fun way for 16 to 24-year-olds to develop money management skills and pass them on to their communities.
