Dundee City Council Liberal Democrat Councillors, Helen Dick and Fraser Macpherson, today (Friday 25th May) said they were ready for the challenge of their new roles within the City Council administration.

Cllr Macpherson is the new Convener of Planning and Transport and Cllr Dick is Vice Convener of Economic Development.

Cllr Macpherson said, "There are significant challenges ahead for the City and it is vital that there is a stable administration with clear priorities for the next four years. Given the need for new economic growth and employment opportunities vital for Dundee, Helen is looking forward to the challenge of her economic development role.

"I am equally pleased to be the new Planning and Transport Convener. I view the provision of quality roads, planning and transportation services as important and we will, as always, work constructively across the City Council for the people of Dundee."
