Raymond Lawrie welcomes Broughty broadcasting to youth audience

Dundee Liberal Democrats' local party Convener, Raymond Lawrie, today (Friday 4th August) welcomed news that next Monday (7th August) Nickelodeon, the cable and satellite TV channel for young people, will be broadcasting their highly successful "Nickelodeon Summer Sizzle" event - live from Broughty Ferry.

"Broughty Ferry will be the centre of attention for thousands of young people throughout the UK - and abroad - and and that's absolutely super for Broughty Ferry and Dundee!" said Raymond.

The Nickelodeon broadcast will start at 10.00 am and it is hoped that many young people from the area will attend.

Following the success of the Radio 1 Big Weekend, Raymond believes the event is another major triumph for the City.

"I know that the City Council and many others work hard to promote Dundee as a media venue and the Nickelodeon event is yet another success," concluded Raymond.
