Dundee West Liberal Democrat candidate Michael Charlton, said today (Saturday 28th April) that there is clear evidence of a Labour vote collapse across Dundee West and that the LibDems were the dark horse in the campaign.

Mr Charlton said, "It is clear on the doorsteps that Labour is doing extremely badly in the constituency but it is not solely the SNP who are the beneficiaries. As we saw in the 2005 Westminster election, the SNP vote rose by 2.2% but the Liberal Democrat vote rose by more - some 5.2%.

"It is genuinely a three horse race in Dundee West, but it is Labour who are struggling. In the next few days, the Liberal Democrats will be emphasising our positive proposals for a brighter future for Scotland."
