Dundee Liberal Democrats welcome Scottish LibDem Pre-Manifesto
Dundee Liberal Democrats today (Sunday 10th October) welcomed the launch of the Scottish Liberal Democrat Pre-Manifesto, in the run up to next year's Scottish Parliamentary elections.
The Liberal Democrats will focus on creating jobs, reforming public services and restoring Scotland's reputation for excellence in education.
Scottish LibDem Leader Tavish Scott said, "We are focusing on three big themes. They are connected and will all contribute to a future for Scotland that is fair and more prosperous than we have known before.
"Our plans will rebuild employment, support the creation of new businesses and jobs and equip every person with the skills, the drive and power they need to reach their potential."
Here in Dundee, Scottish Liberal Democrat candidate for Dundee West, Alison Burns, welcomed the manifesto, saying, "The party is concentrating on the big issues facing Scotland - jobs, education and public services. The LibDems in Scotland have a positive programme for the country and we will take this message to the people of Scotland in the months ahead."
