Dundee Liberal Democrats express concern over fuel price rises
Dundee Liberal Democrats have today (Sunday 1st October) expressed great concern that energy company Scottish and Southern's announcement of bill increases for their seven million domestic users.
Liberal Democrat Shadow Trade and Industry Secretary, Edward Davey MP said that, with wholesale energy prices falling, the hike was difficult to justify and energy companies should be looking to pass on price falls to customers.
Locally, Dundee Liberal Democrat party secretary Michael Charlton said, "Scottish and Southern's increases are dreadfully concerning, especially for those on low incomes and the elderly."
