Dundee LibDems welcome UK Liberal Democrat poll showing increase
Dundee Liberal Democrats have welcomed news that this month's MORI poll provides grim reading for both the Prime Minister and Conservative Leader. In UK terms, the Liberal Democrats are up 3% to 24%.
Tony Blair's personal satisfaction ratings have fallen to the lowest levels of his premiership and, for the first time, more of the public is dissatisfied than satisfied with the performance of David Cameron.
The poll found voting intentions of Lib Dems 24% (+3 on last month), Labour 32% (-1) and Conservatives 36% (unchanged).
"This is excellent news for the Liberal Democrats," said Dundee LibDem Council Group Leader Cllr Fraser Macpherson. "2007 is looking very promising for the Liberal Democrats - both nationally and locally - here in Dundee."
