Dundee LibDems support standing up for Scotland's young people

22 Jan 2007

News that the Scottish Liberal Democrats have promised to take on 1,000 extra sports coaches and PE teachers in a £30m effort to tackle the nation's obesity epidemic has been welcomed today (Monday 22nd January) by Dundee LibDems.

Scottish Liberal Democrat Party Leader Nicol Stephen MSP has made the pledge, indicating the party will be positive about Scotland's youth and making clear that Scotland's other political parties are alienating younger generations by focusing on bad behaviour.

Here in Dundee, local party spokesperson Claire Matthew said, "This is good news for Scotland's young people. It is the Scottish Liberal Democrats who are the party of the future."
