Dundee LibDems support global AIDS Week of Action
Dundee Liberal Democrats have today (Monday 22nd May) lent their support to the United Nations' Global Week of Action on AIDS - a huge issue across the world, but in particular in developing world countries.
The week, running from 20-26 May, is an unprecedented coming together of AIDS activists from across the globe to demand a stronger response from Governments, more resources and more accountability in the fight against HIV/AIDS.
Dundee Liberal Democrat local party Secretary Michael Charlton pointed out that - "In 2005, Make Poverty History made world headlines, and this week the National Global Week of Action on AIDS hopes to highlight the vital issue of combating the global HIV/ AIDS epidemic. We wish it every success in highlighting this crucial issue."
