Dundee LibDems say Tories out of running in the City and across Scotland
Dundee Liberal Democrats today (Thursday 25th January) said that David Cameron's recent visit to Scotland highlighted the decline of the Scottish Conservative Party and said the Tories were irrelevant in terms of the forthcoming elections, both in Dundee and across Scotland.
Malcolm Bruce MP, Chair of the Scottish LibDem election campaign, said, "This is the Shadow Cabinet visiting the party that lives in the shadows," he said. The LibDems have published a dossier which highlights ten clear points of difference between David Cameron's Tories and Annabel Goldie's Scottish Tories.
Locally, here in Dundee, LibDem spokesperson Murray Dick said, "The party to watch in Dundee this May is the Liberal Democrats. The Conservatives are simply out of the running."
