Dundee LibDems highlight cost of not being green.

Dundee Liberal Democrats today (Sunday 2nd April) highlighted the half-hearted attempt by the Chancellor in the recent budget to appear green, when, in fact, under Labour green taxes will continue to shrink as a proportion of the economy.

Dundee Liberal Democrat Councillor Helen Dick said, "Liberal Democrats believe environmental taxes and financial mechanisms should be used more to encourage people to act in a more environmentally responsible way. There are many radical actions the Chancellor could have taken in the budget but Labour has again failed to grasp the nettle."
