Dundee LibDems have highlighted the importance of World Asthma Day, taking place today (Tuesday 2nd May) - an international remembrance day held yearly.

World Asthma Day is used by the national asthma foundations to raise awareness of this condition and the impact it has on the lives of people suffering from it, and their families. The event is supported in the UK by the National Asthma Campaign.

Dundee LibDem Council Group Leader Cllr Fraser Macpherson - an asthma sufferer himself - said, "World Asthma Day presents an opportunity to raise the profile of asthma and to promote ways those who suffer from asthma can manage their asthma."
