Led by Raymond Lawrie, Dundee Liberal Democrat local party convener, Dundee LibDems, including Dundee City Council Group Leader Cllr Fraser Macpherson and local LibDem student representative Iqbal Mohammad, spent today (Saturday 28th January 2006) campaigning in Dunfermline & West Fife for Willie Rennie, Liberal Democrat parliamentary candidate for the by-election taking place on 9th February.

Speaking after a successful day's campaigning, Raymond said, "There's no doubt the Liberal Democrats are challenging Labour hard in the constituency and I would urge Dundee LibDems to help the campaign whenever they can."

Fraser added, "I have known Willie Rennie for many years and have no doubt he will make an excellent MP for Dunfermline and West Fife."

Local LibDems have been asked to contact at helpdunfermline@dundeelibdems.org.uk if they wish to assist the campaign at any time.
