The by-election in Dunfermline and West Fife on 9th February is a close contest between local Fife campaigner Willie Rennie and Tony Blair's Labour candidate.

Visiting the constituency this weekend, former Liberal Leader Sir David Steel said, "Willie Rennie will be a powerful voice for the people of Dunfermline and West Fife. He will make an excellent addition to the growing team of Liberal Democrats at Westminster holding Tony Blair's government to account."
