Dundee LibDem councillors back Shelter's campaign to ensure everyone has a home

30 May 2007

Dundee LibDem councillors Helen Dick and Fraser Macpherson have today (Wednesday 30th May) backed a campaign by Shelter Scotland for newly elected councillors to show support towards the 2012 homelessness target.

They have shown their support to this by each signing a Shelter Scotland pledge card.

Cllr Helen Dick said, "It is vitally important that all elected members of Scotland's local authorities back the campaign to ensure homelessness is eradicated."

Shelter is campaigning for funding for 30,000 more affordable homes for rent in Scotland to come out of the Comprehensive Spending Review. Funding for more houses will help to ease the pressure on waiting lists and temporary accommodation.
