The Scottish Liberal Democrats have announced that Craig Duncan has been selected as the LibDem candidate for Dundee East at this May's General Election.

Craig has strong roots in the constituency, having been born in Dundee and schooled at primary level in Dundee and Monifieth and at secondary level in Carnoustie. In addition, he holds an honours degree in Government and Modern History from Heriot-Watt University.

Although Craig has had a life long interest in politics, history and social affairs, he is no "straight from university career politician" but has lived and worked at a variety of jobs in Edinburgh, London and Dundee, ranging from professional posts to temporary jobs.

Craig is very active in both local politics and charitable work in Dundee.

On his selection as Dundee East candidate, Mr Duncan said, "As a local resident, I intend to provide a strong local voice for Dundee, standing up for local people and I look forward to the campaign ahead."
