Over 70,000 council tax bills for payment in the new financial year starting in April will be sent to households in the city over the next week.

A covering leaflet which provides information about the council's plans, performance and budgets as well as guidance on claiming housing benefit and council tax benefit is also enclosed.

Dundee City Council's Finance convener Councillor Fraser Macpherson said today (Monday 13th March), "Council tax stability is a key strategic priority for the city council and we are committed to keeping increases to a minimum without compromising essential council services.

"Over the last 6 years, the cumulative council tax rise in Dundee has been the third lowest of all the 32 councils in Scotland."
