Cllr Helen Dick gives her support to Fairtrade Fortnight

Supporting Fairtrade Fortnight 2006

Dundee City Council's LibDem Vice Convener of Environmental Services and Sustainability, Cllr Helen Dick, today (Monday 6th March) gave her strong support to Fairtrade Fortnight, aimed at promoting Fairtrade and encourage others to regularly purchase products with the Fairtrade mark.

Helen said, "Fairtrade exists to improve the position of the poor and disadvantaged producers in the developing world and the City of Dundee has been to the forefront in its support of Fairtrade. I wish Fairtrade Fortnight 2006 every success."
