City Centre Councillor Fraser Macpherson has welcomed the introduction of additional recycling facilities in the City Centre with new bins being provided in the City Square to allow visitors to recycle newspapers, plastics and aluminium.

The new facilities were launched at a photocall last Friday (3rd March) at which Fraser was present, along with Cllr Julie Sturrock (Environmental Services and Sustainability Convener), Scott Milne (Chair of the City Centre and Harbour Community Council) and George Murphy (one of the City Ambassadors).

Fraser said, "Its really good to see additional recycling facilities in the City Centre, especially coming soon after the introduction of facilities at Gellatly Street last summer. Many citizens enjoy lunch in the City Square during the summer months in particular and the new City Square recycling facilities are therefore very welcome."
