A flying start to the Scottish Liberal Democrat election campaign!

7 Apr 2007

Nicol Stephen MSP, Scottish Liberal Democrat Leader writes - "After a flying start to our election campaign, the month has begun with promise and a positive message from the Liberal Democrats for a bright future across Scotland.

"In this one short week I've travelled across the country and back - from the Borders to Inverness, to Aberdeen, Dunfermline, Greenock and Edinburgh - all on our brand new eco-friendly battle-bus soon to be a familiar sight right across Scotland - and visiting Dundee on 17th April.

"The bus, powered by clean, green bio-fuels, has become the venue for my daily "bus blog", now available on our new website at http://www.scotlibdems.org.uk/videos - along with our latest party political broadcasts. I'll be updating every so often, so keep logging in to see what we're doing - and you can also see the local Dundee LibDem news at www.dundeelibdems.org.uk.

"The new website has a completely revamped and distinctive design, it is a fantastic guide to the vision and purpose that will go with the Liberal Democrats through this campaign. Details of our campaigns across and our policies for this election can all be found there, so go along and find out why we're fighting so hard in this election.

"There is a drive and optimism with which we're pursuing this positive campaign. Already we're hearing good feedback from the doorstep, and people are wanting to vote for us."

Locally, here in Dundee, Dundee West LibDem parliamentary candidate Michael Charlton said, "Nicol Stephen is making genuine headway in the election campaign as a thinking, imaginative and fresh leader. The people of Scotland are tired of negative politics."
