22 Oct 2006

News that proposals to invest nearly £200 million on Dundee's council housing stock over the next decade have been accepted by Communities Scotland, has been welcomed by Cllr Fraser Macpherson, Dundee City Council's Finance Convener and LibDem Group Leader.

"This is really positive news for the city and vindicates the LibDem/Labour administration's view that council housing should be retained by the City Council on behalf of the citizens of Dundee," Cllr Macpherson said today (Sunday 22nd October).

"Social housing is vital for Dundee's future and the news from Communities Scotland is a great step forward," concluded Cllr Macpherson.
