Dundee City Council’s Liberal Democrat Group Leader Councillor Fraser Macpherson has hit out at SNP and Labour councillors for scrapping the city’s City Centre Ambassador posts in the council’s recent revenue budget.
At the recent Dundee City Council budget meeting, the SNP group voted for a report within its budget proposals to axe all the dedicated school buses for Harris Academy, with effect from August 2027.
Two motions were brought to the City Council’s City Governance Committee by the Ferry Ward Councillor Craig Duncan as part of his campaign to save the Bank of Scotland’s Broughty Ferry Branch and Balmossie Fire Station.
Responding to the Chair of the Scottish Covid Inquiry indicating that it “will not be possible” for the inquiry to start and conclude its remaining hearings in 2026, Scottish Liberal Democrat leader Alex Cole-Hamilton MSP said:
