Scottish Liberal Democrat leader Willie Rennie has today used a campaign stop in St Andrews to say that voters have only a handful of days left if they want to stop the SNP from pushing for another independence referendum.

Mr Rennie said:

"Across the country we are finding people who are willing to lend their vote to the Liberal Democrats to stop another independence referendum.

"You don't have to love every single Liberal Democrat policy, you just have to be among the majority of Scots who look at the prospect of another referendum next year and say no thanks.

"There are so many challenges facing Scotland, from stark rises in the number of young people waiting for mental health treatment to the two thirds of police officers warning they are stressed out and overworked. That's what we should be fixing and that's what a Liberal Democrat government will do."
