Speaking after a campaign visit to North East Fife, Liberal Democrat Leader Jo Swinson called on Remain voters to back the best chance of stopping Brexit in this election. She urged people to put independence to one side and put all our energy into Stopping Brexit.

Jo Swinson said:

"My message to Remainers in Scotland is clear. Come with us. Join our movement. Help us protect Scotland's place at the heart of the UK, and the UK's place in Europe.

"Cutting ties with our closest neighbours is a backwards and isolating move - that's been the lesson of the past three years. We need to learn the lessons of Brexit, not repeat the mistakes.

"There is no limit to what the Liberal Democrats can achieve this election.

"We have a huge opportunity to stop Brexit and get on with really matters - investing in our public services and tackling the climate crisis."
