Christine Jardine MP and Alex Cole-Hamilton MSP have today launched new Liberal Democrat general election posters in Edinburgh and outlined the Liberal Democrats' plans for an optimistic and upbeat campaign to bring Jo Swinson's vision of a brighter future to voters tired of Labour and Conservatives politics which is stuck in the past.

Unveiling the campaign poster, Liberal Democrat Shadow Secretary of State for Home Affairs and spokesperson on Women and Equalities Christine Jardine MP said:

"For too many people in this country things are not working out the way they should and both the Labour and Conservative Parties are stuck in the past, failing to deliver while the SNP obsess with independence.

"Liberal Democrats have an ambitious plan for the future of our country, where every person, every community and the planet itself can thrive.

"A Liberal Democrat government under Jo Swinson will stop Brexit and build a brighter future.

Scottish Liberal Democrat General Election Campaign Chair Alex Cole-Hamilton added:

"We are a hopeful and optimistic movement with an energetic, new, Scottish leader and we are gaining support.

"Labour and the Conservatives are old and tired. We beat them in Scotland in the European elections in May and now we intend to do the same again.

"We are clear on Brexit and clear against the division of independence. We are the best way to a brighter future for our country."
