Scottish Liberal Democrat transport spokesperson Mike Rumbles MSP has today criticised Transport Secretary Michael Matheson for his evasive answers as Mr Rumbles pressed him over links between the US military, the Scottish Government owned Prestwick airport and Donald Trump's Turnberry resort.

Speaking after the exchange Mr Rumbles said:

"Either the Transport Secretary is being deliberately evasive or he hasn't the foggiest clue what is going on at an airport that is costing taxpayers millions of pounds.

"The Scottish Government should come clean as to how much money they are receiving from the US military and what deals with Donald Trump's business empire have been struck on the side.

"Michael Matheson will need to be a bit more on top of his brief if a Congressional investigation comes calling."
