Responding to reports that another of ScotRail's new Hitachi 385 trains broke down this morning, causing travel chaos and a backlash to ScotRail's announcement that two more of the trains entered service today, Scottish Liberal Democrat transport spokesperson Mike Rumbles MSP said:

"Commuters are looking on in bafflement.

"This was supposed to be ScotRail's big moment, instead they have been left spinning their wheels once more.

"Passengers just want trains to be reliable and value for money but they are getting neither. The Transport Secretary needs to get to grips with the catalogue of errors that hold up our rail network and get ScotRail back on track."
