Responding to reports that Amazon are set to raise their minimum pay to £9.50 per hour, Scottish Liberal Democrat leader Willie Rennie said:

"I am delighted that Amazon appear to have seen sense and will pay their workers better.

"It was wrong that the company got so much cash from governments but dodged their responsibilities to staff.

"The SNP spent the first years of this campaign attacking the Liberal Democrats for raising the issue in Dunfermline.

"If the Scottish Government had got on board sooner then people would have had this pay rise sooner."
