Scottish Liberal Democrat leader Willie Rennie has today warned Jeremy Corbyn that he is making "all the wrong calls" on Brexit and independence as the Labour party prepares for its autumn conference in Liverpool.

More than 100 constituency Labour parties have submitted motions calling for Labour to back a People's Vote.

Mr Rennie said:

"Jeremy Corbyn seems totally out of touch in Scotland. He's making all the wrong calls on both Brexit and independence.

"He's fanning the flames of the nationalist movement at just the moment when all opposition parties should be banding together against a Conservative hard Brexit.

"Scottish Liberal Democrats are the only party that are unequivocally pro-UK, pro-EU and progressive, just like the people of Scotland."
