Rennie: Scots Conservatives divided over single market

Responding to Ruth Davidson's speech to the Policy Exchange thinktank, Scottish Liberal Democrat leader Willie Rennie said:

"The speech was about the importance of unity but did not have a word about the deep divisions within the 13 Scottish Conservative MPs about whether the single market is a good thing or not.

"The House of Lords made changes to the Withdrawal Bill to soften Brexit. The Scottish Conservatives are too divided even to say if they support them.

"Ruth Davidson needs to come off the fence and agree that the EU single market is important for the UK. She should give the people all across the UK the chance to decide on the deal rather than leave it just to her divided colleagues."
