Responding to the news that two Scottish Government emission advisors have quit, Scottish Liberal Democrat energy spokesperson Liam McArthur said:

"The resignation of these advisors follows widespread criticism of the lack of ambition or detailed policies contained in the Scottish Government's Climate Change Plan.

"The government is falling short of what's needed to meet the challenge of Climate Change. Meanwhile, these resignations leave Nicola Sturgeon's government coughing and spluttering."
