Responding to Nicola Sturgeon's comments ahead of her speech to the SNP conference in Glasgow, Scot Lib Dem general election chair Alex Cole-Hamilton MSP said:

"With arrogant comments like this, it's no surprise that people are getting tired of the SNP and their broken promises.

"In the NHS, young people still have to wait up to 600 days to get the mental health treatment they need and our education system has drifted down the international rankings.

"Nicola Sturgeon should abandon her divisive independence drive and commit to say nothing more on it for at least the next ten years. People would welcome that across the whole country."
