Responding to Labour's manifesto launch today, Scottish Liberal Democrat leader Willie Rennie MSP said:

"Labour won't provide the competent opposition our country needs. On the biggest issue of our generation, Brexit, Jeremy Corbyn, has nothing to say.

"The Conservatives can't have it all their own way and Labour are incapable of even providing a competent opposition.

"Liberal Democrats are standing up for the mainstream. We will oppose a hard Brexit and offer a competent, fairer voice for the country. The more Liberal Democrat MPs the better the deal on Europe which will mean more jobs, a safer country and more money for the NHS."
