After Nicola Sturgeon was pictured aboard a motorbike plastered with calls for an independence referendum, just hours after she claimed the general election was not about independence and postponed announcing her next steps at Holyrood, a Scottish Liberal Democrat spokesperson commented:

"It has taken Nicola Sturgeon just 24 hours to reverse her policy and put independence back into her election campaign. It is no use Nicola Sturgeon revving up her independence campaign. People have already told her it is a wheelie bad idea. She shouldn't kickstart it again."
