Commenting on the recent poll published today which shows that there has been no meaningful shift in support for independence, Scottish Liberal Democrat MSP Alex Cole-Hamilton said:

"Despite the First Minister using the Brexit to advance her own independence agenda at every stage this poll shows that there hasn't been any meaningful shift.

"The crisis facing our NHS and slipping standards in education are reason enough for the First Minister to focus on the day job.

"The poll also shows a great reluctance among Scottish people to thrash this out again. There was a clear majority for our place in the UK in 2014 that position has not changed and if anything has strengthened."
