Commenting on the launch of the Scottish Conservatives' general election campaign, Berwickshire, Roxburgh and Selkirk Scottish Liberal Democrat candidate Michael Moore said:

"The Tories have launched their campaign more than 20 miles away from the one seat they have a chance at holding at this election, Dumfriesshire, Clydesdale and Tweeddale.

"Every candidate they have has signed up to support George Osborne and his plan to cut to the bone regardless of the consequences to our NHS and key services.

"Liberal Democrats are the only party who will balance the books fairly without putting services at risk."
