Commenting on former Labour Prime Minister Gordon Brown's speech thisWillie RennieWillie Rennie weekend, in which he set out his vision for a stronger Scotland within the UK, leader of the Scottish Liberal Democrats Willie Rennie MSP said:

"This vision from senior Labour figure Gordon Brown adds to the growing momentum across Scotland's political parties for a stronger Scotland placed firmly within the UK family. With each day it becomes clearer that a No vote will allow us to continue to share our positive home rule journey as part of the UK.

"Scottish Liberal Democrats have set out our vision through Menzies Campbell's commission for Home Rule in a Federal United Kingdom and organisations such as IPPR and Devo Plus have done the same. Devolution offers the best of both worlds for Scotland, allowing us to shape our domestic agenda whilst sharing the risks and rewards of the UK family."
