Commenting on a report by economist Brian Quinn published by the DavidWillie RennieWillie Rennie Hume Institute on the economic issues of independence, Scottish Liberal Democrat leader Willie Rennie MSP said:

"Internationally respected Brian Quinn has cast more doubt on the already precarious nationalists' policy on the pound. Sharing a currency which is controlled by another country would leave Scotland exposed to considerable risk in a crisis. The nationalists' assertions on the currency have been found to be as thin as an old one pound note."
