Commenting on employment figures published today, the leader of theWillie RennieWillie Rennie Scottish Liberal Democrats Willie Rennie MSP said:

"It is good that unemployment is starting to fall in Scotland, even though this month's drop does not make up for the large rise last month.

"The number of people in work has increased. This shows that Scotland is sharing in the growth of one million private sector jobs which Liberal Democrats in the coalition government have helped businesses to create since 2010.

"If we are to build a stronger economy which enables more people to get on in life, both of Scotland's governments must work hand in hand on job boosting opportunities such as the £1 billion Youth Contract and the Green Investment Bank."
