"This survey shows that people working at the heart of our oil and gas sector are concerned about the impact the SNP's plans to separate Scotland from the UK could have on investment, exploration and jobs.

"The UK partnership of nations means our broad tax base allows the UK government to support the industry through decommissioning, tax relief and field allowances. Working together and in the face of declining and inevitably finite resources, our oil and gas industry can maximise opportunities within the UK single market.

"The competing nationalist claims over an oil fund, support for decommissioning costs and Alex Salmond's misleading claims that oil revenues would provide £300,000 for every man, woman and child in an independent Scotland make clear that the SNP will say anything to remove Scotland from the UK. This survey seems to show that people are taking the SNP's assertions with a large pinch of salt."
