"There is not a person in Scotland today who would be unaffected by the issues around pensions which are raised in this report. Businesses, pensioners and hard-working people across Scotland will want answers from the nationalists around how it would fix these worrying problems.

"The issue of EU legislation on pension schemes operating between Scotland and the rest of the UK is a legal quagmire.

"Only last month we learnt from the Finance Secretary's leaked report that the nationalists were questioning the affordability of state pensions in an independent Scotland. It is clear that this is one of a long list of questions facing the SNP on pensions in an independent Scotland."
