"Douglas Alexander has got the right idea. A national convention could set the way ahead if we opt to stay in the UK. The Lib Dems have our plans for home rule in a federal UK. And the momentum is building with Devo Plus and Devo More chiming with our plans. We are watching the scene being set for a lasting and stable constitutional settlement for a Scotland within the United Kingdom.

"Should Scotland reject independence in 2014 we can continue our home rule journey. That is what the majority of people want and Liberal Democrats will continue to make that case."
