Commenting as its revealed thousands of patients at NHS Grampian have Jim HumeJim Humenot being treated within the Scottish Government's waiting time guarantee for key diagnostic tests, Scottish Liberal Democrat health spokesperson Jim Hume MSP said:

"I am stunned at what can only be seen as a systematic failure of process across NHS Grampian. Not only was there a failure to identify correctly what information is sought by the Scottish Government, more importantly, patients were falsely given a waiting time which was 14 weeks above the guarantee for key diagnostic tests. These are vital tests which can be a huge source of stress to people's lives.

"This is yet another scandal in yet another NHS board. How many more patients and families need to be failed before SNP health ministers finally get a grip of waiting times management in our NHS?"
