ICT cost borne out of SNP mismanagement

Commenting on an Audit Scotland report which has found that "significant weaknesses" in the management of three public sector ICT programmes has cost £133 million so far, Scottish Liberal Democrat leader Willie Rennie MSP said:

"This is another frustrating cost borne out of SNP mismanagement.

"At a time when people are concerned about the economy and unemployment they will rightly be irritated that they have to foot the bill for over £130 million of delayed or cancelled ICT projects.

"Rather than ambling in the dark the Scottish Government would probably save money seeking expert opinion on how best to manage their ICT programmes going forward."
