Alison McInnes MSPAlison McInnes MSP"The oil and gas industry continues to be a bedrock of employment in the North East.

"As this report points out, the UK Government is working hard to ensure that the industry is in a strong position to play its significant role in our long term economic recovery.

"The Scottish Government must play its part in this process. It must redouble its efforts to provide the modern transport infrastructure the region needs if we are to keep the industry anchored here.

"The SNP have been poor custodians of the transport projects they inherited. The AWPR, Balmedie-Tipperty dualling and Crossrail have all fallen far behind and this does nothing to help the industry develop."
