Scottish Liberal Democrat leader Willie Rennie MSP has urged Alex Salmond to come clean and confess his Plan MacB claims are bogus.

The First Minister has yet to abandon his strategy of urging the UK Government to adopt the SNP's Plan MacB despite the CPPR rubbishing these claims last week.

Commenting Mr Rennie said:

"The SNP Government's claims that 'Plan MacB' is the silver bullet for the Scottish economy were rubbished last week by the CPPR. The First Minister has been found out and now needs to admit to himself and everyone else that his claims on the success of Plan MacB are bogus.

"The UK Government are working hard every day to get the UK back on the road to economic recovery but they need co-operation from every part of the UK, not constant sniping and blame from the Scottish Government.

"The SNP are in danger of becoming so blinkered by their own hype surrounding Plan MacB, they may lose sight of what is actually required to get Scotland back on the road to recovery."
