Lyon: Two million Scots set for tax cuts

Commenting as Labour reveal their latest campaign poster, Liberal Democrat campaign chair George Lyon said:

"Tomorrow, over 2 million Scots will get a tax cut of £200 and a further 71,000 Scots will be lifted out of paying income tax altogether. Next year, a further 21,000 Scots will be lifted out of paying tax.

"Pensioners can look forward to their pensions rising in line with earnings, something that Labour failed to do in 13 years in power.

"Without Liberal Democrats in the coalition government, the only tax cuts would have been on inheritance tax for millionaires."
