Following opinion polling information showing the Scottish Liberal Democrats looking set to make huge gains on the regional vote in this May's elections, Dundee Liberal Democrats today (Tuesday 13th March) said that a breakthrough on the North East Scotland regional list was "on the cards".

Nicol Stephen MSP, Leader of the Scottish Liberal Democrats said, "All the evidence of recent elections and current opinion polls points to Liberal Democrats making major gains. We are now well placed to become Scotland's largest party."

Alison McInnes a key candidate on the North East Scotland Regional List for the LibDems said, "Liberal Democrats have demonstrated that they are a credible and responsible party of government. We are not afraid to take tough decisions. More and more people are telling me that they like our positive approach."

Here in Dundee, City Council LibDem Group Leader Cllr Fraser Macpherson said, "A LibDem breakthrough on the North East Scotland regional list this May is on the cards. It is clear that people are responding positively to the Liberal Democrat message right across North East Scotland."
